About this screener — evidence, source
Ten items from the Systemizing Quotient-Revised, each scoring 0–2 (total 0–20), measuring the drive to analyse and build rule-based systems. Autistic adults score higher on average. Often given with the EQ-10 to describe an empathizing–systemizing profile; it has no clinical cut-off.
Evidence · validated
In 671,606 adults aged 16–89 (Greenberg et al., 2018), mean SQ-R-10 scores were 6.73 (SD 4.18) in men and 5.45 (3.87) in women without autism, versus 8.07 (4.64) and 7.09 (4.37) in men and women reporting an autism diagnosis (case–control Cohen’s d 0.30–0.39). There is no validated cut-off, so the total is reported without bands.
