About this screener — evidence, source, what inspired it

An open autism questionnaire for children and teens. Instead of producing a single trait score, it shows which of the seven DSM-5-TR criteria (three social-communication, four restricted/repetitive) have endorsed features — the same structure clinicians use in diagnostic assessment. Positively and negatively worded items are mixed to reduce yes-saying bias.

Evidence · unvalidated

This is an OpenScreener original instrument. Its thresholds are provisional, set by expert judgement rather than population norms, and have not yet been validated. Treat results as a structured record of concerns, not a score with known sensitivity or specificity.
